Are you ever closed?
We are open almost every day but we are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Easter Sunday and New Years Day.
We may choose not to open in the morning / evening occasionally such as New Year's Eve but we will advise this well prior to those days occurring.
Bathing: My cat may need a bath.
This can be arranged for a fee of $25. All brushes and combs would need to be provided. Claws MUST be clipped.
Bookings for bathing are essential.
Bookings: How long before my holiday should I book?
The greater notice you can give the more likely you will be able to board your cat at the Jovelles Cat Motel.
School holiday times (particularly Easter and Christmas) are prime times. As we usually have limited vacancies, it is advisable to book as soon as you know you are
going away – even approximate dates for prime times is helpful to secure your cat's unit. There is a non-refundable booking fee required for all school holiday
bookings. This is deducted from the boarding costs after your cat's stay.
Claws: Does my cat need his claws clipped?
It is preferred that claws are clipped, especially if your cat is likely to lash out at carers.
Contact while I am away – can I ring?
You are welcome to ring in and check on your cat.
Does my cat run with another cat?
No, NEVER. All units are private and cats from different households are never allowed together.
Emergency contact number – why do you want this? What if I don't have a mobile?
We need to be able to contact you in the unlikely event of a problem occurring. If you do not have a mobile
or will be out of the country, a local contact is preferred. Alternatively, if you have a number where you will be staying, this is fine as well.
Flea Treatment: What is required?
All cats need to be treated for fleas 2 days before coming in for their holiday. Please choose quality products
such as Frontline, Advantage and the like.
Grooming: My cat has long hair. Will you groom?
If brushes and combs are provided, we will groom your cat/s.
Medication. My cat is on daily medication. Can you give this?
Provided that you advise us of this requirement when you book, this should be fine. If there is any difficulty
giving the medication however (tablets), then a “pill popper” may need to be provided. We will apply flea treatments (when provided).
Music: my cat likes company.
We have CD's or the radio going during the day so your cat does not feel isolated. We turn it off at night.
My cat is on a special diet. What do I need to bring?
If your cat is on a special diet i.e. special veterinary biscuits / canned food, you will need to supply
a sufficient quantity to last the length of the stay.
My cat likes to go outside. Can they?
We have an outdoor area available for use, particularly for cats staying for a lengthy holiday. It is very
secure and is available for ½ hr periods when booked.
My cat needs flea treatment. Can you provide this?
We can administer Frontline or similar if required (requested) for a fee. Price on application.
Non-refundable booking fee. What is this?
A $20 non-refundable booking fee is payable for all school holiday bookings. This is deducted from your boarding
fees following your holiday. Should you need to cancel your booking however, this is forfeited.
Parking:
There is a clearly designated parking area at the front of our property. Please use this area and come down
to the house with your cat/s. Most visitors come to the back door which can be reached down the driveway and through the gateway in the fence. When it is
wet, it is advisable to go down to the front door via the gravel path and follow the cement path around the house to the fence. We are on black soil
and it can be very sticky after rain so please think about this when you are coming in.
Pick up / delivery - I can't get there to collect / drop of my cat. Can you help?
We can arrange a limited pick up and delivery service in the local Toowoomba area. Price on application.

You can bring a scratching pole, toys, bedding etc. Please be sure to name bedding in the event that it needs
to be washed.
What vaccinations does my cat need?
All cats must have a current vaccination (F3) minimum.
What happens if my cat gets sick?
Firstly, we would attempt to contact you, however you will have nominated your vet, or ours, to be called if
your cat were to become ill or hurt in any way. We would seek treatment should there be a serious problem. Costs associated with treatment would be at your
expense.
What hours can I bring my cat/s in and collect them?
We are open between 7 and 8 am in the morning – on weekdays this MUST be strictly adhered to. Alternatively
you may like to bring your cat in between 4-6pm MOST days. This needs to be confirmed at time of booking.
